Sorcha Ní­ Ghallachóir was born and raised in the heart of the Gaeltacht in Gaoth Dobhair, Co. Donegal. Currently serving as a Fulbright Irish FLTA Scholar at Villanova and Saint Joseph’s University. Sorcha is a keen follower of sports, mainly GAA. She has been an active member of na Gael Óga C.L.G (Dublin’s only Irish speaking ckub) since it was established thirteen years ago. She was also a founding member and player with the Ladies’ Football team. She served as a Cultural and Engagement Officer, Fundraising Executive and was part of the managerial team of the senior men’s football team and coached underage teams within the club. Sorcha is looking forward to her role as club secretary and being part of Donegal Philadelphia GFC.
